________________________________ I'm really happy with this shot because the conditions were really not optimal. After three hours of sleep (caused by our neighboors who thougt a loud party till 04:30 am is a must on a thursday night) my girlfriend and me were really really tired. But we had to get up at 06:30am and went to Halle/S. for an appointment with one of her diploma-professors just to speed to the next appointment 150km away in Dresden at 01:00 pm. There she had a job interview. In the meantime I tried to catch some sleep in the cold car...for nothing. An hour later (the interview was hugely satisfying) we went to the city center and explored the area for about two hours. After we were chilled to the bones we went in one among a thousand cafés and took a warm drink. Then (after sunset) we went back to the car and I got my equipment (I aimed for nightshots this time). We went back to the spots we scouted in the afternoon and I took my shots while it was biting cold and we were still totally overtired... After one hour we just wanted to get back to the car and get warm and home I casually photograph with bad conditions but this time I thought - why not sharing ________________________________ Semperoper english Semperoper deutsch ________________________________ - Nikon D80 - Sigma 10mm - cable release + tripod - patience - HDR (3 exposures (-2,0,+2ev), photomatix) - photoshop (slightly -> curves, noise, resize + sharpening) ________________________________ for more infos, photos and prints visit dave-derbis.de ________________________________ FULL VIEW PLEASE! thanks for viewing |

92% of deviantART posters use a quote like this. If you're one of the 8% that doesn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
but mostly the great lighting and the gloomy sky.
but i have a question.
how did you get the really nice look flare from the lights?
all of mine turn out horrible, so im kinda wondering if this is a lens thing.
the truth is I don't know it exactly.
this is a hdr shot with different exposures...
in the past days someone told me, he gets this flares when he exposures > 6seconds with his equipment. so this might be helpful :>
